FAQ
Similar to your skin, PerfectDry technology has waterproof qualities, yet remains breathable. This patented innovation and ingredient brand is dedicated to one purpose- perfecting the performance of natural fabrics, without losing any of their inherent comfort and breathability characteristics. PerfectDry technology prevents water and other liquids from absorbing into the treated natural fibers, allowing you to wear apparel that will stay dry and resistant to stains, along with many other benefits. PerfectDry doesn’t absorb sweat, resists growing bacteria and eliminates body odors on your clothes. A fundamental breakthrough in textiles, PerfectDry and its patent-pending innovations enable a wide variety of natural fibers and fabrics to become completely waterproof, without losing any of their inherent comfort, soft touch, and breathability characteristics. Air passes through PerfectDry fabrics faster or at the same rate as untreated cloth. Water coming from the outside will stay outside of the garment, while water vapor evaporating from the body is free to pass through the spaces in the weave of the fabric. All of the water-resistant fabrics on the market today suffer the same list of shortcomings—they’re made of synthetic plastics which feel scratchy, are not breathable, produce unwanted body heat and they all use “wicking” technology, making them heavy and clingy against the skin. Sweat and odors stay trapped inside the fabric for as long as the garment is owned. Polyester, a waterproofing option, is the most used textile in the world. It is derived from petroleum, a non-renewable resource. Polyester fabrics are non biodegradable and can reside in a landfill for hundreds of years. By using PerfectDry technology, garments remain environmentally friendly, offer the comfort and breathability of natural fibers and provide superior waterproofing and stain resistance. This year Zebra Club is celebrating its 25th Year Anniversary. Since inception the store has, time after time, provided the most innovative and cutting-edge products in the fashion apparel industry. To continue this legacy Zebra Club is the first retail store to sell PerfectDry apparel. You can shop online here or visit our Downtown Seattle or Bellevue Square stores. Currently Zebra Club is the only store selling PerfectDry products. PerfectDry fabric won’t lose its luster and shine in water or high temperatures, nor will it be damaged by alkaline solutions or detergents. There is no special treatment necessary and you can care for PefectDry products as if they had not been treated at all. Natural fibers provide superior breathability and comfort while synthetics provide superior waterproofing and stain resistance. Combining these two features provides the ideal performance material. Apparel that has been treated with PerfecDry will retain its natural fiber qualities will remain just as soft, as if it had not been treated at all. PerfectDry sets new environmental standards for textiles by requiring less energy to clean and also being biodegradable. Additionally with PerfectDry’s benefits of comfort and durability, there are many advantages for the apparel industry to accept this technology as industry standard and implement this treatment within manufacturing processes. Natural fibers that can benefit from this technology include 100% cotton, silk, linen and wool. With PerfectDry there is no pilling tendency. It won’t fray or rub, so neither lint nor static is created. It gets softer when used and its durability is unmatched. PerfectDry has undergone extensive testing with world-leading testing facilities and passed an industry-leading 100 hot wash and hot dry test cycles without losing any of its waterproof qualities. PerfectDry technology is guaranteed for the life of the garment.
